The Dixie “O”Zone District Tournament kicked off Friday in Troy with a variety of results that were finalized.

Troy got off to a hot start to their campaign as they put a shellacking to Eufaula 14-3 in five innings.

Troy smashed base hit after base hit in the first inning, going through their entire lineup as they tallied 11 runs.

Reed Jinright was 3-for-3 with two RBI’s , while Carson Tucker went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Juhmir Lampley went 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Overall, every player either scored a run or contributed an RBI.

Troy only allowed two hits, one courtesy a Will Cobb home run, while striking out six.

Troy plays tomorrow at 4 p.m. against Hartford.

Enterprise Americans 14, Slocomb 3

Enterprise Americans steam rolled Slocomb 14-3 in four innings. Mason Marsh went 2-3 with two RBI’s. Hunter Phillips went 1-3 with an RBI and Sam Purvis added a single and an RBI to the cause. The Americans also struck out six batters.

Enterprise Nationals 8, Geneva 4

The Enterprise Nationals beat Geneva 8-4. For the nationals, Kaleb Reynolds had an RBI double, while Will Baker added 2 RBIs. Darins Griffin also had an RBI double. The Nationals struck out seven batters.
