Troy 11, Ashford 1

Troy’s Dixie Belles softball team was able to bounce back from last nights loss with a victory over Ashford.

Troy poured on the offense early and often with solid base hitting throughout the game while only allowing three hits through five innings played.

For the Troy Dixie Belles, Fran Warrick had two RBI bunts, while Paige Riley had a double. Haley Hughes finished the afternoon with two singles, while Ashley Riley had a double.

The Troy Dixie Belles are back in action today at 6pm.

Troy 19, Slocomb 13

After suffering a loss the first night of district, Troy’s Dixie Darlings took care of business and got back to their winning ways, defeating Slocomb 19-13.

More than half of Troy’s batters turned in perfect days at the plate and won the day as they displayed a solid effort the plate.

For the Troy Dixie Darlings, Sadie Leverette went 2-for-3, Alyssa Terry went 3-for-3, Morgan Bundy went 3-for-3, Raegan Brown went 3-for-3, Libby Barnes went 1-for-2, Abby Garrett went 3-for-3 and Maggie English went 2-for-2.

Troy will continue their climb back to the top as they play today at 6 pm.
