Enterprise answered in the bottom half of the first. Kyle Dennis singled to lead things off. One batter later, Hunter Woodham double to score the run and tie the game 1-1.

Troy’s bats would be silenced while Enterprise continued to chip away.

In the third, Parker Warren singled and scored on Woodham’s double. Hunter Brackin plated Woodham on an RBI double to give Enterprise a 3-1 lead.

Dennis would hit a 2-RBI double in the fourth to extend Enterprise’s advantage to 5-1.

Troy would leave a runner stranded at third base in each the second, third, and fourth innings.

In the sixth, Troy added a run when Kobe Griffin drew a bases loaded walk. Lewis came to the plate with two outs and the bases loaded and a chance to do some damage. Lewis lifted a ball into shallow right field but Enterprise second baseman Logan Thompson made a spectacular diving grab to rob Lewis of a hit and Troy of needed runs.

With the loss Troy will drop to the losers bracket where they will face Dothan at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
