Shepard-Rhodes

Mr. and Mrs. Steve McLendon of Louisville and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Shepard of Clayton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Nicole Shepard, to James Christopher Rhodes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles N. Rhodes of Troy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Shepard of Clayton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Iverson of Edina, Minn.

She is a 2008 graduate of Dixie Academy in Louisville and a 2012 graduate of Troy University, with a degree in political science.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Turner of Springhill and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rhodes of Troy.

He is a 2005 graduate of Charles Henderson High School in Troy. He attended Trenholm State Technical College and is employed in Montgomery.

The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Landmark Park in Dothan. A reception will be held in the Stokes Activity Barn.
