Mr. Carlton Flowers of Springfield Community, Brundidge, AL. passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at his residence. He was 87. Funeral services for Carlton Flowers will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Springfield Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Baggett officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation for Mr. Flowers will be held from 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Carlton Flowers was born May 17, 1925 in Pike County, Alabama to the late Lonnie Flowers and Lula Davis Flowers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sons, Carl Flowers and Milton Flowers, 2 sisters, Sara Mae Linzey and Frances Adams. He is survived by his wife: Barnie Ree Flowers, Brundidge, AL; daughter and son-in-law: Vivian (John) Griffin, Montgomery, AL; 2 grandsons and wives: Tyler Curtis (Jessica) Flowers, Brundidge, AL; Steven (Stacy) Griffin, Montgomery, AL; granddaughter: Whitney Marie Flowers, Brundidge, AL; 5 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Sandra Flowers, Brundidge, AL; brother and sister-in-law: Leon (Mary) Flowers, Troy, AL; 5 sisters and brother-in-law: Ada Danner, Brundidge, AL; Eunivay Chapman, Lonice McLendon and Ann (Bill) Shaw, all of Freeport, FL; and Betty Garrett, Pensacola, FL; brother-in-law and spouse: Orron (Phylis) Leatherwood, Columbus, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will

be Donnie Richards, Jackie Jones, Gary Anderson, Joe Wilson, James Fleming and Mark Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be John Austin, Myron Jones and Paul Fleming.
