Goshen aims to get back on the winning track against Calhoun

If there ever was a team in a must-win scenario, it’s Goshen this week. The Eagles are 0-3 and haven’t started 0-4 since 2003.
One positive Goshen can take from its losses is that they’ve been close. The average margin of defeat for the Eagles is just eight points, so it seems that one play here or there has made the difference in the outcome.
Head coach Bart Snyder is adjusting to the Wing-T and it looks as though it will benefit the Eagles in weeks to come. The unfortunate this is that Goshen needs a win now.
The Eagles are 3-1 all-time against Calhoun, who also enters the game 0-3. The Tigers have been out-scored 98-32 in their three games. With Elba and Highland Home still left on the schedule, Goshen needs this win to keep playoff hopes alive.
The Eagles will also travel in their next two contests, so a home victory could give this team a much needed boost heading into the heart of their schedule.
Elba, who is in a three-way tie with Luverne and New Brockton, is Goshen’s last shot to gain ground in the region standings.
Kickoff between Goshen and Calhoun is set for 7 p.m. from The Eagles Nest.
