Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Paschael Anderson of Troy, Alabama announce the engagement of their daughter Rachel Rebecca Anderson to Alexander Patrick Winke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick John Winke of Lexington, Kentucky.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Doug Hawkins and the late Rachel Y. Hawkins of Troy, Al and Mr. and Mrs. Pat Anderson of Troy, Al.

Miss Anderson is a 2007 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts School and attended the Auburn University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Math Education in 2011. She received her Master of Science Degree in Secondary Math Education from Troy University in 2012. She is a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She is presently employed with the Fayette County School Board in Lexington, Kentucky.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Olson, Pulaski, WI, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Winke, Pulaski, WI.

Dr. Winke is a 2004 graduate of Tates Creek High School, Lexington, Kentucky. He attended the University of Kentucky and received a Doctorate from the College of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He is currently employed as an Associate Veterinarian with the Animal Care Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky.

The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m. December 29, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Troy, Alabama. A reception will follow at the Troy Cultural Art Center, Troy, Alabama.
