Mrs. Juanita Spurlock Messick of Goshen died Sunday, February 3, 2013 in Luverne.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the Joquin Baptist Church with Reverends Mike Thomas and William Leverette Officiating.

Burial will follow in the Church cemetery the Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Monday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. There will be a one hour lie-in-state at the church prior to the service.

She is survived by her daughters Ouida Johnson, Lora (Frank) Renfroe, Katherine (Roland) Spivey, Lydia Richardson, Gail (Jim) Rowe, Nita (Ron) Kendrick, Leshia Johnson, and Angie Faircloth, her sons Douglas (Frances) Messick, Luther (Dorothy) Messick, Victor (Judy) Messick, Rickey Messick, and David (Glenda) Messick, 28 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Messick, two sons Larry Joe and Steve Messick and Daughter-in-law Charlene and a son-in-law Jim.

Her sons will serve as active pallbearers and her grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Joquin Cemetery Fund.
