Two members of the Charles Henderson High School track team, Cymphany Jones and Zach Lewis placed in their respective events at the AHSAA State Track and Field Meet in Gulf Shores over the weekend.

Jones finished third in the 100 meter dash, and Lewis came home fourth in the long jump.

CHHS track coach Phillip Jones said that he is proud of his team members’ accomplishments, and wants more in the future.

“We took five girls and eight guys to the meet and one each placed,” said Jones. “That’s good, but we want more. Track and golf are two sports where individuals and teams compete. We want to do well as a whole.”
