June Buggin’ at the We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge is a special “girls” time but a few men have been known to “crash” the fun and that’s quite all right. Who could blame them?
It’s all good – the stage show, the music, the food, the fellowship.
June Buggin’ is as magical and as unpredictable as the flight of a June bug. You never know what to expect.
This year, Suzi “Mama” Whaples will make her way back from the mountains of West Virginia with her mountain-hewed sense of humor in tow.
She’ll be June Buggin’ at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at the We Piddle Around Theater. Tickets are on sale at studio 116 in downtown Brundidge or by calling 334-735-3125.
Whaples is a storyteller, humorist, dishwasher, commode cleaner and all around hilarious hillbilly.
“I come from wild and wonderful West Virginia where the women are wild and the men are wonderful,” Whaples said. “That’s why they call West Virginia, ‘Almost Heaven.’”
Whaples delights audiences with her mountain innocence and wit. Laughter is her middle name.
“Actually, my middle name is Gail but I like ‘Laughter’ better,” she said.
Funny bones have been known to “crack up” when “Mama” Whaples comes to town.
Tickets for June Buggin’ are $20 and include the pre-show, luncheon with dessert and Suzi “Mama” Whaples on stage.
As it says on the powder room wall, “For a REAL good time,” call 334-735-3125.
