Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wilson Carroll of Troy are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Leigh, to Craig Anthony Schimmer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Erik Anthony Schimmer of Ozark.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carvell Wilson Carroll of Troy and Mrs. Minnie Ruth Crook and the late Mr. Virgil Parker of Elba.

Stephanie graduated magna cum laude from Troy University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science and Business Administration. She is currently pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Helen Hilden Schimmer and the late Mr. Joseph Anthony Schimmer of Onalaska, Wisconsin and Mrs. Helen Christmas Vile and the late Mr. William Arthur Vile, Sr. of Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology from Troy University. He is currently a graduate teaching assistant and thesis candidate at Troy University where he is pursuing a master’s degree in Biological and Environmental Sciences. He is further employed by the Half Shell Oyster Bar & Grill in Troy where he works as a bartender.

The wedding will take place on June 22, 2013 at Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy with a reception to follow at the Troy University Stadium Club.
