Troy athletic director John Hartwell announced on Wednesday that the Trojans have signed a deal to travel to Clemson on Sept. 10, 2016.
Troy played Clemson in 2011 falling to the Tigers 43-19.
The Trojans are 1-10 all-time against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents with the lone win coming over Florida State in 1947.
The matchup with Clemson is the first non-conference game announced for the 2016 season. Troy is scheduled to play at UAB and South Carolina in 2014 while hosting Abilene Christian and Duke. In 2015, the Trojans have a trip to Mississippi State planned. Troy will travel to Boise State in 2017 before hosting the Broncos in 2018.
