Attempted murder suspect arrested

A man wanted in connection with a shooting Wednesday night turned himself into Troy Police about 1:40 Thursday afternoon.
Walter Jermaine Young, 31, of Troy, was arrested for attempted murder and is being held in the Pike County Jail on a $50,000 bond, according to Troy Police.
Young was reported to have been standing in a yard on the side of the road in the 500 block of Hubbard Street at about 8 p.m. Wednesday when he fired weapon into a vehicle.
According to Troy Police Lt. Bryan Weed, there were three people in the vehicle, but only one was injured. The victim was transported to the hospital in a personal vehicle and suffered a non-life threatening wound, Weed said.
No information has been released as to whether or not the crime was a random act.
Police obtained an attempted murder warrant for Young Wednesday night.
