Wetumpka man killed in motorcycle crash

A Wetumpka man was killed in a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday afternoon in Brundidge, according to the Brundidge Police Department
John Farrell, 55, was driving a motorcycle and turning onto U.S. Highway 231 from 93 when he was struck by a transfer truck, said Police Chief Moses Davenport.
Bobby Reeves, 69, of Highland Home, was hauling a tanker on U.S. Highway 231, southbound, when he collided with Farrell.
Farrell died at the scene and Reeves was not injured, Davenport said.
The crash is under investigation by BPD with help from the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
Troopers, a deputy fire marshal, Troy Fire, Brundidge Fire, CARE Ambulance and the Pike County coroner all responded to the crash site Monday.
