The Messenger’s 2013 All-Area Team

Charles Henderson wide receiver John Johnson has been named as The Messenger’s 2013 Player of the Year. Johnson helped lead the state runner-up Trojans to a 14-1 record. Johnson accounted for 2.572 total yards and 32 total touchdowns.
Johnson is joined by his coach Mike Dean who has been named as The Messenger’s 2013 Coach of the Year. In just his second season at the helm, Mike Dean guided the Charles
Henderson Trojans to a 14-1 record and runner-up in the AHSAA 4A division. The Trojans set a new school record for wins and points scored in a season.
