Funeral services for Dewayne Edward Cagle, 45, of Troy, who died Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Montgomery, Al, will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, June 26, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with President Peter Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park under the direction of Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dewayne graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He worked for the Alabama Department of Transportation for 11 years. He enjoyed church friends, co-workers friendship and going out to eat. Most restaurants knew by name and food order.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Wayne Cagle, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his parents Herb and Linda Champion; sisters Hillary Karen Cagle and Mara Kristin Pierce; and two special aunts, Brenda Childress and Betty Martinez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alabama Department of Transportation in Troy, Troy American Legion Post 70, DAV Chapter in Troy and members of the Troy Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Northport Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
