The Troy Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in catching two individuals suspected to have been involved with multiple vehicle break-ins.
Lt. Brian Weed with Troy PD said the police department has been working to identify a male and female suspect thought to be involved with multiple break-ins around the first of October. The pair is also suspected of using fraudulent credit cards.
The two suspects were last seen entering the Walmart in Troy at approximately 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1. While there, the two individuals used a credit card that had been stolen during the course of a vehicle break-in earlier that day.
“We had a rash of car break-ins around that time and in the area,” Weed said. “That’s why we feel like there is a possibility that they may have something to do with those other ones, since they used that card that came from one of those same areas.”
The female suspect was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. The woman was described as having long, dark curly hair. The male suspect was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jeans, a blue button-up shirt, a pair of dark colored tennis shoe and black thick framed glasses. Both individuals’ heights and weights are currently unknown.
Anyone who has any information regarding these individuals is asked to contact the Troy Police Department. Those with information may contact Troy PD directly at 566-0500 or use either the Crime Stoppers hotline at 215-STOP (7867) or the Secret Witness line at 566-5555.
