The 9 and under Troy all-star soccer team faced Dothan Saturday and fell 3-0.

The team, who had been only practicing together for a week, allowed three goals within the first 15 minutes but held Dothan to just those scores for the match. Head coach  Bobby Templin said the team had been able to come out playing aggressively after halftime, which helped the team to be able to hold Dothan.

“We played even with them,” Templin said. “We had some opportunities in the second half where we had the wind with us, but we couldn’t convert. They all played hard the entire game. I was proud of them for that.”
