A Troy woman was transported to a Montgomery hospital after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross South Brundidge Street early Tuesday, according to police reports.
Lt. Bryan Weed of the Troy Police Department said the woman, whose identity was not being released at the time, was attempting to cross South Brundidge near Smith Street when she was struck the vehicle.
“According to witness at the scene, she was running across the street when she was hit,” he said. “I don’t have an update on her condition, but I understand her injuries were serious.
He said the driver of the small truck that struck the woman had not been charged with any wrongdoing at this time.
“We’re not releasing his name or any other information at this time,” Weed said.
