Trojans fall to Hornets

Bullock County fought through several Charles Henderson second-half runs as the Hornets held on to win 53-44 Tuesday in the Charles Henderson Christmas Tournament.
Bullock County struck first in the game with a layup to give the Hornets an early 2-0 lead.
It was their first lead in a first half that never saw the Hornets trail Charles Henderson.
The Trojans were able to tie the game up twice in the first half, once at 5-5 and once at 14-14, but the Bullock County offense proved too much as the Hornets took a 24-18 lead into the locker room despite eight first-half points from Kordel Anderson.
In the second half, the Trojans were determined to chip away at the Bullock County lead, dropping the deficit to single digits often in the second half.
Anderson led the Trojans with 11 of his 19 points in the second half.
But with every Charles Henderson basket, Bullock County responded. Twice the Trojans got to within six points of the lead, but that was the closest they would come all game.
Four Hornets finished the night scoring in double digits.
