Local residents can go and be served a variety of dishes from Chicken Salad Chick next week, after approximately 10 months since this chain restaurant announced its plan of coming to Troy.
The Auburn-based Chicken Salad Chick located in Crowe’s Plaza at 1113 U.S. Highway 231 South will open next Tuesday, April 21.
According to Ali Rauch, director of marketing for Chicken Salad Chick, the Troy store is a corporate store, not a franchise location. The opening of the restaurant in Troy is in response to great demand from CSC customers.
Local people do not have to travel to other cities to get their chicken salad or sandwiches from CSC anymore.
“Troy has proven to have a lot of Chicken Salad Chick fans, and we have heard great feedback from people who have been going to our Montgomery location,” Rauch said.
“The new restaurant will seat about 60 to 65 guests, will have a similar style, look and feel as other CSC restaurants,” she said.
“Troy would be our first experience in a small market, and we are expecting it to be successful,” Rauch said. “We were contacted and told that Troy is an ideal spot. We believe it will be a hit with the fans.”
“The Troy store will offer customers the full Chicken Salad Chick experience,” Rauch said.
“We will serve our full menu,” she said. “We have 15 flavors of chicken salad served on the sandwich or by the pound. We will also have the side salad and fresh fruit at the Troy location, along with four different gourmet soups.”
Rauch said in addition to the full regular menu, beginning on May 4, the store will also serve its seasonal menu. There will be a lettuce salad dish with strawberries, cranberries and pecans, as well as a special pie.
“We are very open and interested to see how the Troy market will receive Chicken Salad Chick,” she said.
