Opal Jean Cotten Stinson

Mrs. Opal Jean Cotten Stinson, 80, of Dothan, formerly of Troy, died Saturday, April 18, 2105, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Monday, April 20, 2015, at Good Hope Baptist Church in Troy with Reverend Les Lee (her son-in-law), Reverend Bobby Powell, Reverend Ray Stinson, and Robert Lee (Grandson) officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home and Cremations of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. Mrs. Stinson was born July 12, 1934 in Geneva County to the late Milton McRay Cotten and Mattie Ruth Cotton Cotten. She was a school teacher in Coffee County for over thirty one years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Felix Stinson; and her brother, Douglas Cotten.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Les Lee of Dothan; two grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Bobby and Amber Lee and Daniel Lee all of Dothan; siblings, Charles Cotten (married to Elizabeth Cotten), Tommy Cotten, Kathryn Goodson (married to Ted Goodson), James Cotten (married to Katy Cotten), Linda Bowden (married to Paul Bowden), and Joe Cotten (married to Diana Cotten). Many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
