Mary Helen Ellis, age 85, a resident of Brundidge died Thursday, July 9, 2015. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church with Reverend Shirley Ellis and Reverend Ashley Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Ellis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Jean and Gene Fortune of Troy; her son, David Ellis of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Tony Fortune of Ohio, Michael Fortune and friend Cathy Spence of California, Sonya Zamora and husband Mario of California; great-grandchildren, Jeremy Fortune and wife Haley of Troy, Joshua Fortune of Brundidge, Jessica Garner of Lyons, GA, Chelsie Ellis of Lyons, GA; great-great-grandchildren, Raylon Griggs of Lyons, GA, Blakely Fortune and Griggs Fortune both of Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husband James Ellis.
