Garth Hurschel Crumpler

Garth Hurschel Crumpler of Troy, Ala. passed away July 23, 2015 at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, Ala.
He was 73 years old. He retired from the U.S. Navy after making Charleston, SC and Jacksonville, FL his primary ports of embarkation. After retirement from the Navy, he worked for the Ala. Department of Corrections for twelve years.
He was born February 22, 1942 to Hurschel and Myrtle Beasley Crumpler in Atlanta Georgia. His parents and brother Bobby Crumpler preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Carol Crumpler of Troy, daughter Peggy Jessup (Scott) of Cochran GA, and two sons, Michael Crumpler (Rachel) of Vidalia GA and Anthony Crumpler (fiancĂ©e Rebecca Rolison) of Troy; grandchildren, Haley Crumpler of Vidalia, GA, Chessly Goforth (Adam) of Naples, FL, Stephen Bailey of Lakeland, FL, Austin Allen of Lakeland FL, and Kevin Jessup of Cochran, GA and one great-granddaughter, Bristol Goforth of Naples, FL; his sister Gayle Siedow (John) of Shalimar ,FL and brother Denny Crumpler (Virginia) of Lake Harding. Garth’s departure creates a profound sense of loss for his children and all those who knew him. He will always occupy a place in the hearts of family and his many friends.
