Malcolm A. “Mac” Flinn

Mansfield, OH–Malcolm A. “Mac” Flinn, 69, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at University Hospital in Cleveland. Born July 26, 1946 in Mansfield, he was the son of William Eayre and Dorothy Bacon Flinn. Mac was a graduate of Kenyon College where he received his Bachelor Degree in Psychology and retired from Brost Foundry where he was a salesman. A kind and positive man, he enjoyed drawing, playing games, watching various sporting events, and was an avid reader, especially of recent scientific breakthroughs. Mac was always gentle and caring and was an excellent father to his children.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Flinn of Cleveland; son, Barclay Flinn of Mansfield; sister, Celia Flinn of Mansfield; brothers, Ned Flinn of Mansfield and William and Jewel Flinn of Troy, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Clark Flinn.
There will be no calling hours or services held. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lois Flinn Education Fund at the Mansfield Art Center, 700 Marion Ave, Mansfield, OH 44906.
