The Harlem Globetrotters are bringing basketball fun to the Trojan Arena on Jan. 12.
Children and adults a like will have the opportunity to witness the fun and excitement of a show that has been thrilling families for 90 years.
“It’s going to be really exciting,” said Troy University’s Director of Athletics Jeremy McClain. “Obviously the Globetrotters have a very strong history. To have a group like that to come to our facility is exciting.”
The Globetrotters have been entertaining fans since the mid 1920s.
“It’s an event that will be a great time for everyone regardless of their age,” McClain said. “If you have been to one of these, then you know what it is like. It’s a lot of fun. If you haven’t been it is something that you need to do at least once. There is a reason they have been able to do this for 90 years and be so successful. To have that in the community and to have that for our folks is great.”
Tipoff of the event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Fans will be able to purchase tickets at Troytrojans.com for as low as $17.
