The Disaster Relief Team in Brundidge is seeking donations for the victims of the flooding in Elba in December.
Moses Davenport, a team member, said many residents of Elba were greatly impacted by the flood waters and the Disaster Relief Team would like to offer its assistance in alleviating some of the problems.
“To do this, we are asking for the community’s support,” Davenport said. “The support of any and all churches, businesses, lodges, civic organizations or clubs is needed to help our neighbors.”
The items that are needed include blankets, cleaning supplies, towels, bedspreads, comforters, sheets, pillows, paper towels and other paper products, jackets, coats, socks and canned goods.
“Donated items may be dropped off at County Line Missionary Baptist Church between the hours of 6 and 8 on Wednesday and Thursday nights and from 12:30 until 3 o’clock on Sunday afternoons from now until January 23,” Davenport said.
The delivery date to Elba will be January 23.
“The Disaster Relief Team of the Brundidge Community will appreciate the support of our community,” Davenport said.
