Mrs. Ila Mae Thomas of Prattville, Ala., and formerly of Troy, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her residence. She was 85. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Pastor Keith Gambill officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time. She was born May 18, 1930 in Pike County, Alabama, to the late Ernest Taylor and Mary Lee McMillian Taylor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Thomas; two sons, Louis Thomas and Roy Thomas; a grandson, John Michael Thomas; and a brother, Robert Taylor. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Palm, Atlanta, Ga.; 8 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
