“I’m excited for our community to have people of their caliber step up and serve.”
Meeks, Paramore and Baker all said they were humbled and honored by the opportunity.

Meeks, also completing his first term, thanked the residents of District 2. “It’s been an honor and privilege to serve District 2 this past four years, and I’m looking forward to serving for the next four,” he said.
Baker said she appreciated the opportunity to serve and noted that she has “big shoes to fill after Mr. Witherington.”
“I’m thrilled. I’m humbled. And I’m ready to serve,” she said. “It all sounds very cliché but it’s true … I’m looking forward to serving District 4 and the City of Troy.”
