Lacey Lamar Stallings, age 87, of Troy, Alabama, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016, in Troy surrounded by his devoted and loving children. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18 from 4- 6 p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 19, 2016, at 4:00 PM in Green Hills Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bo Weed officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Stallings, Joey Stallings, David Stallings, Nick Helms, Nick Stallings and Terry Stallings. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home. Mr. Stallings was raised in a close-knit family with his loving parents, John Laco Stallings and Selma Windham Stallings, and his brothers and sister. He passed-on the same devotion to his family, and extended a helping hand to anyone in need. Lacey was also an avid Alabama fan and enjoyed watching them play. Mr. Stallings was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Tompkins Stallings; son, W.L. “Billy” Stallings; and grandson, Ben “Splash” Stallings. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wayne Bloodworth of Johns Creek, GA; son, Richard Stallings of Troy; nine grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Reynolds Stallings of Columbus, GA, W.L. Stallings of Troy, and James Stanley Stallings of San Antonio, TX; and sister, Ellouise Livingston of Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to the American Red Cross (PO Box 37389 Boone, IA 50037-0839).
