The Troy Exchange Club will host its annual “One Nation Under God Prayer Breakfast” from 7 until 8 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall in downtown Troy.

Donna McLaney, Troy Exchange Club member, said the Rev. Ed Shirley will be the guest speaker.

“Rev. Shirley has been the speaker for our ‘One Nation Under God Prayer Breakfast’ before and we are excited to have him back,” McLaney said. “This year, Rev. Shirley will portray a circuit rider and share stories of the clergy in the earliest years of the United States. The circuit riders traveled around the country preaching to the settlers and organizing congregations. We are looking forward to learning more about the role circuit riders played in the early years of our country.”
Special music will be a part of the program along with participation by those in attendance. The breakfast is free and everyone is invited to join the Troy Exchange Club in this time of prayer.
