Goshen falls to R.C. Hatch

The Goshen Eagles season came to an end on Thursday when they fell to R.C. Hatch 64-51 in the Class 2A Regional Semi-Final.
The Eagles close out the season with a 19-6 record.
“I’m proud that our boys fought really hard,” said Eagles head coach Ethan Carroll. “We showed a lot of heart tonight.”
The Eagle offense mustered just six points in the opening quarter and went into he second trailing 14-6. They scored 12 points in the second quarter and went into halftime trailing 26-18.
The Eagles were outscored in the second half 38-33.
Michael Hollis led the Eagles with 16 points and four rebounds. Zack Alford also finished in double figures with 15 points. He also picked up three assists and five rebounds. Eric Williams finished with six points and two rebounds.
The Eagles finished the season as the Area 6 regular season champions after finishing 6-0. They also went on to win the area tournament championship.
“Beginning tomorrow (Friday) we are going to start preparing for next year,” Carroll said. “We plan to be back.”
