Charles Henderson High School, Charles Henderson Middle School, Troy Elementary and Highlands Elementary (Dothan) have been invited to the Alabama Archery State Tournament April 7 in Montgomery.

The teams competed at the Troy Regional in February and are part of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP).

A total of 4,124 archers from 159 schools competed at the nine regionals across the state for slots to compete at the State Championships.

“This program is sponsored by the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and has been an excellent program for our youth in Troy, Banks, Goshen, Ozark and Dothan,” said coach Forrest Lee.  “We are excited for our archers as well as for those students at Highlands.”
