Post 70 falls to Texarkana

Post 70 locked horns with the defending World Series champions from Texarkana on Saturday afternoon. Post 70 fell behind early and couldn’t recover and they fell 8-3.
Post 70 starter Joey Wozniak took the loss on Saturday night after throwing five innings and allowing eight runs on 10 hits.
Post 70 finished with eight hits led by Santiago Garcia who finished with a double and a home run.
Wozniak struggled early in his outing against the Razorbacks. Texarkana sent nine batters to the plate and scored four runs on three hits. Wozniak had two wild pitches and an error in the inning.
Texarkana added two more runs in the second and Post 70 entered the bottom of the second trailing 6-0.
Post 70 got on the board in the second inning when Hunter Reeves led off the inning with a triple to center field and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Casey Henderson.
Wozniak settled in and faced the minimum over the next innings. In the fourth, Post 70 got on the board when Santiago Garcia hit a long home run down the left field line to bring the score to 6-2.
Texarkana answered right back in the fifth inning when they picked up two runs on three hits including a two-run double to go back up by six at 8-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth.
Post 70 finished in the top two in their pool and will advance to the single-elimination portion of the tournament on Sunday.
