Troy police are investigating an incident that left one man dead late Wednesday.

Police responded to the 900 block of East Academy Street around 10:11 p.m. Wednesday, where they found a male subject with a gunshot wound to the head.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, but no details about the victim were released at this time.

Troy Police Chief Randall Barr said the case is under investigation by the Troy Police Department and the Pike County Coroner’s Office.
