Herbert ‘Herb’ Edward Long

OZARK – Herbert “Herb” Edward Long, a resident of Ozark, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his residence after a short battle with cancer. He recently turned 68.

Mr. Long was born January 17, 1950 in Nuremberg Germany and moved to Ozark as a teenager. He was a 1968 Graduate of Carroll High School in Ozark and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Long was a collector of antiques, a fisherman and a loving Pe-Paw to his granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Long, a daughter, Jessica Sanders (William); a son, Brad Long (Julie); grandchildren, Anna Long, Libby Sanders and Ellie Long; parents, John and Ann Long;  a sister, Marilynn Silavent (Steve); several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society on their website or mailed to: PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
