Troy police have arrested a man and a juvenile in connection with the burglary of the Charles Henderson High School field House on May 7.
Quoannazji Jamal Shykeim Smith, 18, of Troy and a juvenile whose name will not be disclosed due to age were arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree burglary in connection with the incident.
Officers responded to the field house at approximately 6:45 p.m. Monday and found the side door of the field house had been forced open.
“Several lockers were broken into inside the field house,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “Ten different victims reported items stolen or damaged as a result of the break in.”
Both were taken into custody without incident.
Smith was incarcerated in the Pike County Jail on a $2,500 bond. The juvenile suspect was placed in detention by Pike County Juvenile Probation to await an appearance before a juvenile court judge.
Third-degree burglary is a Class C Felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
