Carolyn McHugh Ferrell passed peacefully, June 24, 2018, into the arms of her Holy Father from the fate of cancer at the age of 81 after a blessed, healthy, 80 years of life. Those who knew her know that she loved. She loved her heritage, her husband, her children, her sister’s children, nature, and most everyone and everything she met along the way.

Carolyn was a daughter of Robert Levi McHugh and Mary Carter McHugh of Orrville, Ala.; wife to Robert Donald Ferrell for 59 years; beloved mother to Stephanie Ferrell Uva, Marcus Carter Ferrell, Philip Donald Ferrell and daughter-in-law, Robin Windham Jones-Ferrell; self-assigned guardian to her nephew, Edward Wilhoite; aunt to several other nephews, extended family and “grand-dogs.” She is treasured.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her three children and the aforementioned nephews, great nieces and nephews and grand-dogs. Her memory will be celebrated, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Union Springs, AL, July 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The American Cancer Society, Susan B. Komen Foundation or a charity of your choice that you know she would support – there were many.
