Mr. Sam Trotter, 86, a resident of the Shady Grove community, died Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Crowne Healthcare in Montgomery.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 11:00 am from Shady Grove Methodist Church with the Reverend Kathy Fisher officiating. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.

Mr. Trotter is survived by his brothers, Robert Larry Trotter (Glenda), and Jerry E. Trotter (Marsha); sister, Mary Helen Fleming (Earl); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Trotter was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Trotter Petrey.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Shady Grove Cemetery Fund or the Shady Grove Methodist Church at 11054 County Road 1101, Goshen, AL 36035.
