CHHS varsity boys and girls sweep Andalusia

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans remained undefeated after they knocked off Andalusia 64-24 on Friday night in Andalusia.
The win for the Trojans improves their overall record on the season to 8-0.
Three Trojans finished in double figures led by Tatyana Siler, who finished with game-high 15 points. Fellow senior Niaira Jones also finished in double figures with 14 points, while Makala Hobdy had 12.
The Trojan defense held the Bulldogs’ offense to single digits in all four quarters on Friday night. The game was all but wrapped up in the first half after the Trojans went into the locker room at halftime holding a commanding 50-10 lead.
The Trojans scored 30 points in the second quarter. Jones scored 10 of her 14 points in the quarter after she knocked down two three pointers.
The Trojans had the game on cruise control in the second half. They scored just 15 points in the third and fourth quarters, but that was more than enough to earn a comfortable 40-point win.
The Charles Henderson boys, after snapping a two-game losing streak with a win on Thursday, made it two in a row on Friday with a 63-47 win over the Bulldogs.
For the second consecutive night, Keonte Brantley led the way in scoring for the Trojans with 17 points. Marcus Grant knocked down four three pointers on his way to scoring 16 points, while Terrell Sistrunk scored 10 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter.
The Trojans will be back in action on Monday when they travel to take on Dothan in a rematch of Thursday’s games.
The day will begin with the junior varsity boys at 4:30 followed by the varsity girls and varsity boys.
