Trojans finish day two of tournament 1-1

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans split two in their tournament in Orange Beach on Tuesday afternoon at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
After falling to Alexandria 9-0 in game one, the Trojans turned around and knocked off Guntersville 5-1 in game two.
The 1-1 finish on Tuesday puts the Trojans at 9-9 overall this season.
Alexandria scored seven runs in the first three innings in game one and held the Trojans to just one hit.
Dakota Berry picked up Charles Henderson’s only hit in the bottom of the second inning.
Sydni Garrett pitched the game’s first three innings and allowed seven runs, but only three of which were earned.
Emma Kirkpatrick finished the final two innings for the Trojans and allowed two runs.
The Trojans scored three runs in the opening of game two and rode it to a four-run win over Guntersville.
After picking up one hit in game one, the Trojan pitching staff held Guntersville to one hit in game two.
Kirkpatrick pitched all five innings. She gave up one run on one hit. She struck out one.
The Trojans finished with seven hits. Garrett finished the game 2-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Kirkpatrick drove in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the first inning that allowed Heather Maxwell to score. Two batters later homered to left field to put Charles Henderson up 3-0.
After a scoreless second inning, Madison Cain singled to left and drove in Graci Williams , bringing the score to 4-0.
The Trojans scored their final run one inning later when Kirkpatrick drove in Maxwell on a groundout to second base.
