Bibb County scored runs in five different innings in their 8-4 win over Charles Henderson in the deciding game of the second-round playoff series.
The Trojans held off the Choctaws in game two Friday night, but couldn’t carry over the momentum into Saturday in their season-ending loss.
Darryl Lee got the call as the Trojans starting pitcher. Lee pitched 4.2 innings and allowed six total runs, five of which were earned. He struck out two batters and walked three.
The Trojans finished with five hits in the loss. Huner, Lawson Scarbrough, Cole McWhorter, J.B. Sanders and Jackson Giles all finished with one hit.
The Trojans fell behind early 2-0 heading into the third inning. They gained the lead, albeit for a short time, with a four-run third inning. Huner and McWhorter each had RBI singles and Scarbrough contributed with a two-run double and the Trojans took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the third inning. The Choctaws went on to score six unanswered runs to secure the game and the series.
