The Troy Kiwanis Club will host its ‘Best in Alabama’ Car Show this Saturday in the parking lot of First Baptist Church.
Caleb Dawson, president of Troy Kiwanis, said registration can be made at the event, so there is still time for car enthusiasts to join the show.
Registration is $25 per car and the show is free to everyone who just wants to come and see all of the various cars on display.
“This is a community event that celebrates cool cars and the people who care about them,” Dawson said. “ It’s also a fundraiser for Kiwanis International’s Eliminate MNT (Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus) Project.”
Every dollar goes a long way toward buying vaccines to combat tetanus around the world.
The show will take place in the College Street parking lot of First Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Cars, trucks and bikes are able to be entered into the show.
“We’re really grateful to First Baptist Church for allowing us to use their parking lot,” Dawson said. “It’s also close to downtown, so afterward everyone can stroll down the block to get some lunch. We expect people to come from all over South Alabama to this event.”
