Authorities are investigating a murder in Brundidge after a man was found dead inside a local convenience store.

Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said the crime is believed to be a robbery-homicide that occurred at approximately 6 a.m. today at the Gulf gas station across from the fire station.

The victim was found dead of a gunshot wound and reported to police at approximately 6:40 a.m.

The Brundidge Police Department is being assisted by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Pike County District Attorney’s Office at this time.
