David A. “Tony” Jones, 62, a resident of Troy, died Sunday, August 11, 2019, at Troy Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services for Mr. Jones will be Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Rev. Brian McLendon officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 14, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Jones was a loving father, grandfather and friend. He was a hard-working man who especially loved working with his hands. He loved to tinker with whatever he could get his hands on. He loved to fish, work in the yard and spend time with family. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife Peggy Jones; children, Barry Jones (Jessica), Nathan Jones (Beverly), David A. Jones Jr. and Christina Jones; brother, Bruce Jones; sister, Melinda Stewart (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Connor Jones, Brayden Jones and Chloe Jones; and brother and sisters-in-law, Buddy Peacock (Angie), Angie Caddell (Mike), Wanda Brady (John), and Rachel Peacock.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Oris Jones; sister, Carolyn Numan; and brother, Phillip Jones.

Pallbearers will be Mike Anderson, Dan Garner, Scott Fortune, Ronald Simmons, Josh Lee, Mike Caddell and Buddy Peacock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Jones and Brayden Jones.
