Lady Trojans knock off rival Bulldogs

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans knocked off rival Pike County 49-17 on Tuesday evening in Troy.
The Lady Trojans held the Bulldogs to six first half points and took a 30-6 lead into the break at halftime.
With the Trojans leading 41-8 heading into he fourth quarter, the Lady Bulldogs had their most productive quarter of the evening when they outscored the Trojans 9-7.
Five different Trojans got on the scoreboard on Tuesday, led by senior Samira Moore. The senior led all scorers with 21 points. Makala Hobdy also finished in double figures with 12 points, while Niaira Jones had eight points. Mykyia Milton and Kristian Jackson each had four points.
The Bulldogs had four different players score on Tuesday led by Urriya Berry who finished with six points. Aliah Broadnax had five points, while Kyah Rouse had four.
The Charles Henderson Trojans are scheduled to play Auburn on the road on Thursday. The Pike County Bulldogs will host Rehobeth for their home opener on Friday.
