Janet Susan “Kinnie” Wilkerson, 57, of Ariton, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2019, in Montgomery. Janet was a devoted and loved performer at the Red Door Theater in Union Springs for many years. She was a member of Inverness Baptist church. She loved her family and her grandchildren, who gave her the nickname Kinnie.

A funeral service for Janet Wilkerson will be held Sunday, January 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend David Stewart officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Her survivors include husband, Thomas E. Wilkerson, Jr.  of Ariton; sons and daughter-in-law, Devon and Jennifer Wilkerson of Ariton, and Travin Wilkerson of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Ethan  Thomas Wilkerson and Tyler Dabney Wilkerson; sister, Patricia Dawkins Cole, nephews, Matt Green and Jason Finch. She was preceded in death by her parents Lamar and Mary Evelyn Tyler Dawkins; stepfather, Robert Turnipseed; brother, Danny Dawkins; and her sister, Elaine Dawkins Kline.
