Lady Trojans run away with an 86-12 win over Prattville

Despite a running clock in the fourth quarter, the No. 1 Charles Henderson Lady Trojans flirted with the century mark in their 86-12 win over 7A Prattville on Tuesday afternoon in Troy.
The win for the Trojans keeps them undefeated on the season improving their record to 15-0.
The Lady Trojans wasted little time in jumping out to the lead. They scored the game’s first 29 points. The Lions finally cracked the scoreboard with approximately 1:10 remaining in the opening quarter.
The Lions doubled their production in the second quarter, but was outscored 23-4. The Trojans went into the break at halftime holding a commanding 53-6 lead. After scoring 16 third quarter points, the Trojans went into the fourth and final quarter holding a 69-8 lead. The refs ran the clock in the fourth quarter and the Trojans cruised to a comfortable 74-point win.
The 86 points scored on Tuesday was the second highest of the season behind only their 90 points scored against Barbour County in mid December. They are now averaging 61 points per game this season.
Niaira Jones finished the game with a team-high 24 points while freshman Makala Hobdy had 16 points, Madison Ousley had 11 points and Mykyia Milton had eight points. Samira Moore finished the game with six points.
The Trojans will be back in action play when they resume area play on the road Friday evening against Rehobeth.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
