Pike County knock off rival Charles Henderson

Andres Burney and the Pike County Bulldogs shut down their cross-county rival Charles Henderson 61-50 on Monday night in Brundidge.
The win for the Bulldogs improves their record on the season to 17-4. The Trojans, with the loss, drop to 13-13.
The Bulldogs outscored the Trojans 18-6 in the third quarter and took a 45-30 lead into the fourth.
Burney finished the game with a game-high 22 points to go along with 18 rebounds and four assists. Senior Amaghie Lampley and Omar Cumberbatch also finished in double figures with 11 points. Lampley added three assists, while Cumberbatch had five rebounds.
Keith Wheeler led the Trojans with 15 points, while Akeives Shorts and Tay Knox each had eight points. Cody Youngblood and Mario Davenport each had seven points.
