Trojans go for wins record on the road against Little Rock

The Troy University Women’s Basketball Team returns to action on Thursday evening with a chance to make history.
The Trojans hit the road to take on Little Rock with a chance of breaking the program wins record.
The Trojans (23-4, 14-2 SBC) earned their 23rd win of the season on Saturday when they defeated in-state rival South Alabama. In doing so, the Trojans clinched a spot in the semifinal round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
Before the Trojans get to New Orleans however, they have two more regular season games remaining on their schedule beginning in Little Rock against the Trojans.
Troy is currently in a tie in the loss column for first place in the Sun Belt Conference along with Coastal Carolina. The Trojans have two games remaining, while the Chanticleers will close out their regular season on Saturday against Appalachian State.
Little Rock comes into the contest 9-7 in conference play and 11-16 overall. They are coming off a 72-54 loss to Arkansas State.
The Trojans are currently on a four-game winning streak. They lost to Coastal Carolina in their last loss on February 13.
The Trojans have hauled in 1,493 rebounds this season, good enough for 55 per game, most in the nation and nine more then Tennessee who sits in second. Alexus Dye leads the team with 9.5 rebounds per game.
The Trojans have two players averaging double-digit points this season led by Japonica James who is averaging 13 points per game. Jasmine Robinson is averaging 11.9. Dye is just shy of averaging double digits with 9.9 points per game.
Troy and Little Rock met on February 20 at Trojan Arena with Troy picking up a 77-59 win. Little Rock leads the all-time series with Troy 15-7.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
